KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and perform specific experiments in support of R&D projects in NGS, Molecular, Cytogenetics or Biochemical Genetics platforms.
  • Work with clinical team to validate and transfer tests to clinical diagnostic workflows.
  • Work with Product Development Team to plan and execute R&D strategies.
  • Assist with laboratory training and education of external team.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform clinical tests as needed after proper training.
  • Prepare validation materials for review in adherence to regulatory agencies and requirements.
  • Conduct routine lab duties as assigned by supervisor, manager, or lab director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with 5+ years of industry experience or equivalent.
  • Extensive expertise in NGS and molecular biology techniques.

COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated success in technical documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during test design, optimization and validation.
  • Programming skills, Bioinformatics, SQL and database knowledge is a plus.

  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
