Job Description
The Remote Production Manager will be responsible for providing reliable studio operations services to our news, sports and entertainment partners. This role will manage the technical preparation and real-time execution of various broadcasts and segments for NBCU on air and digital platforms. The RPM will also navigate high volume production facilities at NBC Studios, Rockefeller Center, ensuring constant communications and supporting Directors' and producers' vision.
Job Duties:
• Schedule, manage and assist with execution of all 30 Rockefeller remote shoots. Client contact prior, during and after shoot to ensure flawless execution from scheduling to shoot wrap up.
• Create a clear path to technical services and resources for our show clients in a shared facility, maintaining expected production value while maximizing efficiency
• Partner with show clients and collaborate with Studio Operations, Facilities and Engineering teams to plan technical and logistical requirements for shoots across 30 Rockefeller Plaza
• Manage bi-weekly meetings to keep team up to date and discuss best practices
• Oversee technical setup and testing for productions assuring show needs are met while staying in alignment with production rules at 30 Rockefeller Plaza
• Supervise set location crew, equipment and connectivity requirements, finding immediate solutions to problems, keeping production on track and uninterrupted
• Manage expectations for gardens shoots and work with clients on weather contingencies
• Ensure production requests have been submitted and are up to date
• Responsible for budgeting and making clients aware of all expected and potential charges for remote shoots
• Use proper judgement to escalate issues affecting production workflow to leadership and additional support
• Act as Technical Manager for studio events when needed
• Provide backup for Technical Production Manager of Plaza Productions
• Work closely with Audience Operations Coordinator to assist during high volume days
Qualifications

• College degree in area related to responsibilities described or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years live television production experience

• Proven computer skills to quickly adapt to specialty applications, forms, file systems and tools
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and databases

• Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
