Regional Sales Representative- Chevron & Texaco (AZ, CA)

About the Team/Role:

As a Regional Sales Rep (RSR) at WEX Inc., you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and growth for our market-leading payment product. You will be responsible for identifying and securing new accounts for the Chevron commercial card program. We are looking for individuals who reside in within the territory which covers the states of Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and California . We are seeking dynamic, results-oriented sales professionals who are adept at generating strong leads, prospecting, and identifying opportunities, and will have experience selling in a B2B environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with exceptional discovery and presentation skills and has a strong track record in closing sales. 

As a Chevron RSP for our commercial fleet card program, you will share the same passion for continuous innovation and client service that is unparalleled in our industry. You will strongly represent both the Chevron and the WEX brand in your territory.

How you'll make an impact:

As a “Hunter” in this role, the RSP will take on the primary responsibility of identifying and acquiring new business opportunities within the territory of Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and California.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Consistently meet or exceed sales monthly KPIs (net cards, gallons, revenue)

  • Develop a strategic plan for territory expansion in collaboration with your sales manager

  • Self-generate leads and build a robust pipeline of commercial card opportunities

  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce

  • Demonstrate exceptional discovery and presentation skills through superior product and competitive knowledge 

  • Effectively cross-sell other WEX products and services. 

Experience you'll bring:

  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience with proven client acquisition

  • Demonstrated consistent quota performance in a business-to-business sales environment

  • Demonstrated ability to sell against the competition

  • Strong prospect-channel identification, development and qualification skills

  • High degree of territory management capability

  • Travel is required, must be comfortable in air/vehicle travel

  • Successful completion of a background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Ability to advance opportunities through the sales cycle

  • Strong forecasting and pipeline management skills – will be required to maintain a prospect database on designated software (Salesforce)

  • Negotiation skills and ability to sell at all decision-making levels 

  • Ability to build and manage relationships within various partner organizations

  • Commitment to integrity selling and teamwork

  • Goal-focused, self-motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position.  Actual pay rates will vary based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.  Base pay is one component of WEX’s total compensation package.  WEX’s comprehensive and market competitive benefits are designed to support your personal and professional well-being.  For more information on your benefits and total rewards package, visit WEXNet. 

Pay Range:  $60,000-$80,000 + Uncapped OTE

Management Level: Intermediate Professional

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
