Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing sales operations within their region, driving strategic initiatives to achieve sales targets, and fostering customer relationships.  If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Drives regional sales strategy in collaboration with Vice President of Sales, District Sales Managers (DSMs), and General Managers (GMs) ensuring alignment and achievement of overall business goals.

  • Recruits, trains, and develops sales teams, focusing on sales techniques, market dynamics, and pipeline building programs.

  • Champions human resources processes within sales, including hiring, coaching, and performance management of field sales associates.

  • Facilitates frequent sales calls and coaching sessions to identify growth opportunities and remove barriers to success.

  • Develops and executes regional sales strategies and initiatives, leveraging data analytics and KPIs to assess performance and drive growth.

  • Holds sales teams accountable for achieving sales targets and adopting business initiatives through regular performance reviews.

  • Partners with operations to enhance customer service, resolve disputes, and support will call and counter sales growth.

  • Manages customer and supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and product availability, and developing strategic accounts.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.

  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about. Occasionally there may be a requirement to stoop or lift light material or equipment (typically less than 8 pounds).

  • Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience in sales management, including leadership roles in achieving sales targets and managing teams.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of coaching and developing sales teams to maximize performance and meet business objectives.

  • Expertise in developing and executing regional sales strategies, utilizing data analytics and KPIs to drive growth and market penetration.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationship, resolve issues, and enhance customer satisfaction.

$156,300.00-$261,300.00 Annual

California law requires the posting of the salary range for advertised jobs.  This range is determined based on market data and internal pay practices to establish a minimum and maximum value for a job.  Individual base pay is determined based on a variety of elements including experience, skills, internal equity and other factors.
