8Fleet is hiring. 8Fleet is a rapidly growing LA based technology and logistics startup building the operational infrastructure for both autonomous and non autonomous rideshare fleets. With our anticipated growth, we’re searching for a Regional Human Resources(HR) Manager to support our expanding multi location workforce and help build a high performance People function that scales with us.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Regional HR Manager who combines data and strong operational instincts with the ability to coach, influence, and shape teams at scale. You’ll partner closely with leaders across multiple sites to support a large, fast paced non exempt workforce while driving consistency, accountability, and a great employee experience.

This is a high impact role that sits at the intersection of frontline operations and People strategy. You’ll tackle everything from manager enablement to org planning to performance coaching, training, all while ensuring our People systems and policies operate smoothly across locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Multi Location Workforce Support

  • Partner with site managers and regional leaders to support workforce planning, driver retention, and team performance

  • Ensure consistent People practices, policies, and manager behaviors across all sites

  • Provide hands-on support for non exempt workforce needs, including scheduling, attendance, and performance issues.

  • Support the launch and scale of new markets ensuring implementation on HR infrastructure.

  • Build, monitor, and tract core metrics (turnover, attendance, engagement, corrective actions) and drive targeted improvements

Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Handle first line employee relations matters with empathy and operational clarity and escalate when required

  • Support documentation, investigations, corrective actions, and policy interpretation

  • Maintain compliance with wage and hour regulations, break rules, scheduling laws, and labor requirements across multiple states

People Operations Partnership

  • Collaborate with People Operations on onboarding, data accuracy, HRIS workflows, leave management, and payroll alignment

  • Provide insights into workforce trends to improve systems and processes

  • Help identify and implement People tools that improve clarity, speed, and accuracy across the organization

Successful Candidates Will Bring:

  • 4+ years of People Partner or HR Manager experience, ideally supporting large non exempt teams in a startup environment working in a fast pace at scale.

  • Strong operational instincts and proven experience supporting multi location environments.

  • Ability to establish process and maintain data accuracy to standardize as scale.

  • Experience coaching frontline and mid level managers

  • Ability to handle employee relations with steady judgment and clear documentation

  • Deep knowledge of wage and hour laws, attendance policies, and labor compliance

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver results to build trust quickly across all levels

Compensation:

Base Salary Range: 125k to 140k plus equity
