About Onebrief

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.

Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $123m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $1.1B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.

About the role

As a foundational member of Onebrief’s Talent Acquisition team, you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless interview process and excellent candidate experience. You will partner with and support all teams across Onebrief, from executive leadership to engineering and sales, as we recruit top talent. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your operational and process-improvement skills as we optimize tools and systems across our organization.

About You

You’re highly organized with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong attention to detail. You have previous experience managing coordination across a variety of teams and roles, and build strong partnerships with members of the talent acquisition team, hiring managers, and interviewers. You’re adept at juggling multiple priorities, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and care deeply about creating an exceptional candidate experience. You’re interested in recruiting and talent operations, and enjoy working with systems and technology (we use Ashby) to improve processes.

What you'll do
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team, hiring managers, and interviewers to schedule interviews and coordinate the overall interview process across technical, non-technical, and executive roles

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely communication

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of job postings and interview plans

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to organize interviewer pools, ensuring that interviewer shadowing and training is tracked and updated

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in Ashby, our applicant tracking system (ATS)

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve the efficiency of our recruitment processes, and elevate the candidate experience

What we look for
  • At least two years of recruitment coordination experience, ideally working across a blend of technical and non-technical roles

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills - you can juggle multiple priorities and know when to ask for help

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly and concisely

  • Empathy, patience, and confidence - you easily build trust and rapport with candidates, interviewers, and your teammates

  • Tech savvy with a strong interest in (or previous experience in) Recruiting Operations

  • You are a true Onebriefer:

    • You are obsessed with creating value for real users

    • You are ambitious, scrappy, and a creative problem-solver

    • You learn quickly, work iteratively, and naturally seek collaboration

    • You approach your work with integrity, intellectual honesty, and a low ego

    • You communicate frankly, clearly, and succinctly

    • You thrive as a self-starter, embracing autonomy and ambiguity

Compensation Range: $80K - $95K

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
