Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to mitigate water scarcity and inclement weather. We develop and incorporate radar and satellite validation, weather-resistant UAS, weather modeling, and novel sensors and dispersions into an effective precipitation enhancement solution.

Rainmaker is a high-performance research, engineering, and operations company. Our work requires scientific rigor, technical excellence, disciplined execution, and strong cross-functional communication across the cross-functional teams.

We are hiring a Recruiting Coordinator to help support Rainmaker's recruiting engine: the system that hires exceptional technical, scientific, and operational talent with an extraordinary bar of excellence.

In this role, you will coordinate interviews, manage recruiting logistics, maintain hiring data, and ensure every candidate has an outstanding experience from first contact through onboarding. You'll partner closely with our Senior Recruiter, the Head of People, hiring managers, and interviewers to keep the hiring process running smoothly while helping continuously improve our recruiting operations. Your attention to detail, organization, and commitment to excellence will play a critical role in helping Rainmaker attract and hire exceptional technical, scientific, and operational talent.

What You'll Do

    Keep the recruiting engine running

You will help power Rainmaker's recruiting engine by ensuring every hiring process runs smoothly and efficiently. From scheduling interviews and coordinating hiring teams to maintaining accurate recruiting data and keeping searches on track, you'll create the operational foundation that enables us to hire exceptional people quickly and consistently.

    Deliver an exceptional candidate experience

You will be one of the primary points of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process. From scheduling interviews to providing timely communication and ensuring every interaction is thoughtful and helpful, you'll help create an experience that reflects Rainmaker's commitment to excellence. Every candidate—whether hired or not—should leave with respect for the company and its mission.

Support a structured, high-quality hiring process

You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to coordinate interview loops, prepare interview materials, collect feedback, and ensure each stage of the hiring process is completed accurately and on time. Your organization and attention to detail will help keep hiring decisions informed, consistent, and efficient.

    Build strong recruiting operations

You will help maintain recruiting systems, track hiring metrics, prepare reports, and identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes. By keeping our applicant tracking system accurate and our operations organized, you'll enable the team to move quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.

    Help protect Rainmaker's culture

Every interaction matters. You'll represent Rainmaker with professionalism, responsiveness, and care, helping ensure our hiring process reflects the values and high standards that define our culture. Through exceptional coordination and operational excellence, you'll play an important role in helping us grow with intention.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex interview scheduling, coordinate multiple hiring processes simultaneously, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting recruiters and hiring managers throughout the hiring process, including interview coordination, applicant tracking system (ATS) management, candidate communications, and recruiting operations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines, anticipate scheduling conflicts, and keep recruiting processes moving efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset, demonstrating professionalism and responsiveness when interacting with candidates, interviewers, and cross-functional partners.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate recruiting data, documentation, and reporting while ensuring confidentiality and operational excellence.
  • Comfortable learning new systems and technologies, with experience using applicant tracking systems (such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby) and scheduling tools such as Google Calendar.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
