Who We Are

Serval is an AI-native automation platform transforming how enterprises operate. We build intelligent agents that understand real-world workflows and execute them end-to-end — replacing manual processes and rigid legacy systems with adaptive, learning software. Founded in early 2024, Serval is already trusted by companies like Fox, Notion, Perplexity, Vercel, and Brex to automate high-volume, high-friction operational work across their organizations.
At the core of Serval is an agentic AI platform that turns natural language into production-grade workflows. Our agents don’t just respond to requests — they reason, take action across systems, and continuously improve with usage. What began with operational use cases has quickly evolved into a horizontal AI automation layer used across IT, HR, Finance, Security, Legal, and Engineering.
Our mission is to eliminate repetitive, manual work across the enterprise and give teams leverage through intelligent automation. Long term, we’re building the universal AI operations layer — a system of agents that sits across business functions and runs the workflows that keep modern companies moving.
We’re backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Meritech, First Round, General Catalyst, Elad Gil, and others.

Role Overview

As a Recruiting Coordinator at Serval, you'll sit at the center of one of the most important functions in the company — hiring. You'll own the coordination and candidate experience that powers our ability to attract exceptional talent as we build the future of AI-driven IT automation. This is not a passive scheduling role. You'll move fast, operate with precision, and ensure every candidate interaction reflects the speed and quality Serval is known for.

You'll gain real visibility into how a high-growth, Sequoia-backed company builds its team — and play a direct role in shaping that outcome.

What You’ll Do
  • Coordination & Candidate Experience

    • Own interview scheduling end-to-end, coordinating across candidates and hiring teams to keep processes moving quickly and without friction

    • Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience through clear, timely communication and thoughtful touchpoints at every stage

    • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to manage pipelines, surface bottlenecks, and keep hiring on track

  • Talent Operations

    • Maintain clean, accurate data in our ATS and ensure recruiting operations are organized, efficient, and built to scale

    • Support the build-out of recruiting infrastructure — process documentation, workflow automation, and tooling improvements

    • Identify inefficiencies in the recruiting process and drive solutions before they become problems

    • Assist with reporting and analytics to give the talent team visibility into pipeline health, hiring velocity, and operational performance

What You’ll Need
  • 1+ years of recruiting coordination or talent operations experience in a fast-paced environment; startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred

  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail — you don't let things slip

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a candidate-first mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly as hiring needs shift

  • An operator's mindset — you don't just execute tasks, you think about how to make the system better

  • Comfort working with ATS systems and scheduling tools; highly proficient with Google Workspace, Ashby, or similar tools

Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting technical or engineering hiring

  • Background at an early-stage or venture-backed startup

  • Experience improving recruiting processes, building SOPs, or implementing coordination best practices

  • Familiarity with recruiting analytics or workflow automation tools

What We Offer
  • Impact: Be a key player in shaping the success of our product and company.

  • Growth: Build a fundamentally new AI product offering with the support of our experienced team and investors. Grow rapidly with the company.

  • Culture: Join a culture that values innovation, ownership, accountability, and fun.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
