The Role

LettrLabs is disrupting a $30B industry by uniting AI with tangible marketing. One Example: When a storm hits, our platform geo-locates to zip code, activates direct mail campaigns in minutes, and tracks every conversion back to digital. The result: 5x return on conversions and 3x year-on-year growth for our customers.

People are the engine behind that growth — and we need someone to help us find them. We're looking for a hungry, organized, and people-first Recruiter to support our growing hiring needs across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their recruiting career who wants real ownership, direct exposure to leadership, and a front-row seat to building a team inside a high-growth startup.

Location: This role requires in-person presence at our headquarters in Los Angeles, California.

Why Join Us

  • Get hands-on recruiting experience across a wide range of roles, from software engineering to operations to marketing, in a fast-moving company with real stakes.
  • Work alongside experienced operators and get direct visibility into how a high-growth startup builds its team.
  • Competitive compensation, growing benefits, and a culture that rewards initiative.

What You Will Own

  • Sourcing & Outreach: Proactively identify and engage candidates across job boards, LinkedIn, and community channels; build pipelines for active and future roles.
  • Candidate Screening: Conduct initial screens to assess fit, communicate LettrLabs' mission and culture, and move qualified candidates efficiently through the process.
  • Coordination & Logistics: Own scheduling, interview logistics, and candidate communications end-to-end to ensure a smooth and professional experience at every touchpoint.
  • ATS Hygiene: Maintain clean, up-to-date records in our applicant tracking system so nothing falls through the cracks and reporting stays accurate.
  • Process Support: Assist in building and refining intake templates, scorecards, and offer workflows as the recruiting function takes shape.

What Success Looks Like

  • Pipelines stay full. Active roles have a steady flow of qualified candidates and hiring managers never feel like sourcing has stalled
  • Candidate experience is consistently strong. Every candidate, regardless of outcome, leaves the process feeling respected and informed
  • Admin is airtight. Scheduling, ATS records, and candidate communications are accurate and timely without needing a manager to follow up
  • You're learning fast and adding scope. Within 6 months, you're running full-cycle coordination independently and beginning to take on sourcing strategy with light guidance

What You Bring

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, HR coordination, or a related people operations role.
  • Organized by nature: You track details, follow up without being reminded, and keep multiple balls in the air without dropping them.
  • Strong communicator: You write clearly, respond promptly, and represent LettrLabs professionally to every candidate you interact with.
  • Coachable and curious: You ask good questions, take feedback well, and want to understand the "why" behind the process, not just the task list.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity: You can operate in an environment where not everything is defined yet, and you see that as an opportunity rather than a blocker.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with an ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or similar)
  • Exposure to technical recruiting or sourcing for engineering/product roles
  • Experience at a startup or high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter or other proactive sourcing tools
  • Interest in SaaS, robotics, or marketing technology

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
