The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Recreation Supervisor to join the team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. 

 

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

As a Recreation Supervisor, you’re not just supervising daily recreation operations – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:

  • Supervise recreation operations: Oversee recreation-related pool, fitness center, and food & beverage services, activities, and programming
  • Lead the recreation team: Train, schedule, and supervise team members
  • Oversee recreation set up: Manage chair and cabana setup, towel service, and personalized poolside amenities; oversee furniture setup for special events
  • Deliver exceptional service: Monitor service quality, engage with guests to assess satisfaction, and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
  • Manage inventory and supplies: Oversee linen, amenities, and food & beverage inventory to ensure proper stock levels and minimize loss
  • Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
