Be the face of Hot Topic, Inc.! We’re looking for a proactive, personable, and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for guests and callers, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a positive and professional office environment. This position involves managing a high-volume call center, greeting visitors, and supporting various administrative functions across departments.

This role operates onsite and will require to work from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA 5 days a week.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Operate Zoom computerized phone system and answer all incoming calls
  • Relay incoming and inter-company calls promptly and professionally
  • Greet office visitors and monitor visitor log
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (employee badges, intercom system)
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Generate HQ name tags/badges as needed
  • Assist in UPS, including but not limited to receiving, sorting, and delivering packages
  • Assist the travel department with arranging travel and accommodations
  • Assist the relocation department with relocating employees
  • Assist with various office/clerical duties as needed
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Perform other job duties as needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • High School or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Bilingual a plus
  • A dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
  • Strong communication skills include the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Competency in computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Canva
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and lift/move up to 10 pounds.  May lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
