Essential Duties:
Design and analyze protocols and architectures for quantum information science applications.
Present ideas and results in effective technical presentations, write technical papers, reports and proposals.
Work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated research experience in quantum information science including the development and analysis of fault tolerance protocols, analysis of algorithms, and various applications of quantum information theory.
In depth understanding of multiple aspects of quantum information theory.
Coursework or experience in theoretical computer science, mathematics, and information theory, including the development and analysis of algorithms.
Experience with development, analysis, and high-performance implementation of algorithms.
Knowledge of discrete mathematics, numerical analysis and scientific computing techniques.
Experience with high-performance scientific computing in Python and/or C++11
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, excellent problem solving skills, ability and desire to work in team environment
Required Education:
Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
Physical Requirements:
Ability to spend long periods of time at a computer monitor, and ability to travel.
Special Requirements:
US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain US Government security clearance
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.
