Role purpose
Build and maintain the Risk data foundation (warehouse/marts + pipelines) and automate risk reporting across the Group—reducing manual spreadsheets and enabling consistent, auditable MI.
Key responsibilities
- Risk data platform: Design/maintain risk warehouse/marts integrating key sources (trading/exposure, finance/cash, operational registers, outsourcing metrics, etc. as applicable).
- Pipelines & controls: Build ETL/ELT with monitoring, logging, access controls, and data quality checks (completeness, reconciliations, exception handling, lineage).
- Data Model: iterate over the canonical data model to maintain a high level of adaptability to the business model.
- Report automation: Automate recurring MI (mark-to-market, daily reports, stress tests, wind-down plan metrics where applicable) and enable self-serve dashboards.
- Definitions & governance: Maintain metric definitions, documentation, and change logs so MI is regulator/audit ready.
- Delivery collaboration: Translate Risk requirements into data products, manage a delivery backlog, iterate with stakeholders.
- Quantitative modelling: Create and maintain quantitative risk models that produce outputs for liquidity and risk management.

- Automated MI packs/dashboards with reconciliation checks
- Data dictionary/lineage + access controls; reduction plan for manual reporting
Requirements
Experience / skills
- Strong SQL + Python; data warehousing; robust production pipelines; BI tooling experience; disciplined documentation; comfortable in regulated environments.
Success measures
- Reliable automated MI; fewer manual touchpoints; consistent cross-entity reporting; fast answers to “what’s our exposure / what changed / what’s breached?” with trusted data.
