ImagineX is a tech company that deploys AI-assisted teams to build and secure mission-critical enterprise solutions with our clients – spanning software, data, and AI. Structured like a software company, not a traditional consultancy, we blend deep technical expertise with authentic values, achieving world-class satisfaction (NPS 91). Our dedicated teams specialize in software, data, and AI across the U.S. and LATAM, bridging the gap between boutique agility and enterprise scale.

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality through engineering excellence, automation, and continuous integration practices. You will design and implement automated test frameworks, integrate quality checks into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with developers to prevent defects before they reach production. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of testing, software engineering, and DevOps.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing

  • Develop robust automated test suites using modern languages and tools (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Kotlin, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium)

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure fast, reliable feedback loops

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes, improve testability, and prevent defects

  • Define quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Perform performance, load, or reliability testing as needed

  • Review code, contribute to architectural discussions, and champion automation-first practices

  • Mentor junior engineers on automation, tooling, and quality engineering principles

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or software engineering

  • Strong programming skills in one or more modern languages

  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD systems

  • Deep understanding of testing strategies for distributed systems, APIs, and modern web/mobile apps

  • Familiarity with cloud environments and DevOps practices

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

  • Ability to influence engineering teams and drive quality improvements across the organization

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
