Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer will perform all the required inspections on product to assure compliance to CAM's Quality System, Specifications and Customer requirements for Industrial and Military/Aerospace products.
The Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The Quality Engineer's responsibilities include designing quality standards, developing quality control systems, determining corrective actions, planning, and conducting activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products. This position is a key liaison with internal staff, suppliers, and customers on Quality related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
' Maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management System.
' Supports customer, AS9100, and NADCAP audits.
' Conducting internal audits and identifying areas for improvement.
' Understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services.
' Develops training documentation for specific processes in compliance with customer and quality requirements.
' Participating in design reviews, risk management, continuous improvement, approval of routers for new products, contract review, and PPAP activities.
' Creating and enforcing quality standards, procedures, and policies.
' Working closely with all departments/functions to develop procedures/work instructions for new processes, identify improvement and training needs, and develop performance goals.
' Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
' 'Manage Root Cause & Corrective Action process for external and internal customer complaints:
o Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
Interfaces and assists with supply chain development and initiatives; evaluate supplier performance; maintain suppliers' qualifications up to date.

Basic Qualifications:
' Bachelor's degree in engineering in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
' 3 years of experience in the quality field, aerospace industry preferred.
' Knowledge of lean manufacturing basics and AS9100 quality system requirement.
' Working Knowledge of problem-solving tools.
' Experience in blueprint reading.
' PPAP and AS9102 experience.
' Strong organization and planning skills.
' Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
ASQ CQE certified.
