JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing independent assessment of NCMR, review and approve rework instructions, MRB dispositions, new documented information, new product, or process. Review cause and corrective actions, and follow-up for effectiveness. Participate in cross-functional team on in-depth root causes analysis, APQP/PPAP, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review and interpret complex drawings, NDT acceptance criteria and customer specifications for various customers.
- Validate rejections using inspection tools (Advanced Level), has full MRB QA Approval with minimal guidance, understands what conditions are acceptable by customer.
- Resolve quality issues and perform in-depth analysis of cause and corrective action using problem-solving skills with minimal guidance. Analyze trends or common issues, elevate and call meetings.
- Create technical documents (i.e. 8Ds) that will be submitted to the customer.
- Coordinate improvements with other departments.
- Participate in PFMEA with the PE and MEs.

- Review and approve new BOOs/BOMs, new training material/process, procedures, new contracts review (i.e. new part number, drawing and specifications, requirements)
- Train and guide Associate Quality Engineers
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors in Science of Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- OR Associates Degree in Manufacturing or related field and equivalent minimum 4 yrs. engineering or quality experience in related field.
- OR High School Diploma and equivalent minimum 7 yrs. experience in engineering or quality support.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate understanding of ANSI Y14.5 symbology, interpretation, and application
- Intermediate understanding of machining methods, cutting tools, manufacturing processes (assembly, deburr), outside processes, internal/external product value stream.
