What You'll DoAs the first QA Generalist at CO:CREATE, you will lead the charge in building a robust quality assurance function from the ground up, with an initial focus on ensuring a smooth and successful mobile app launch.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will design and implement thoughtful QA systems that empower our engineering team to ship confidently, while ensuring both artist and client have a seamless, high-trust experience on our platform.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to establish scalable manual testing processes, lay the groundwork for future automation, and champion the user experience through rigorous testing and cross-functional collaboration.
Through a combination of technical execution and user empathy, you’ll play a critical role in reinforcing CO:CREATE as the most trusted platform for the world’s top tattoo artists.
Lead QA efforts across mobile and web, starting with a high-impact mobile app launch.
Design and run manual test plans that ensure product quality, performance, and polish.
Validate end-to-end user flows, including core functionality, communications, and CRM systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Artist Success to elevate platform reliability and user experience.
Build the foundation for future test automation and scalable QA systems.
Be the voice of quality and detail in a fast-moving, design-forward and artist-focused product team.
Passion. A passion for tattoos.
Experience: 3–5+ years in QA across mobile and web, with experience creating test plans, writing tickets, and managing issue triage.
Technical Background: You’ve done manual testing and have experience in automated testing (e.g. Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks).
QA Fundamentals: Solid knowledge of regression, smoke, usability, design QA and exploratory testing. Comfortable testing comms and CRM workflows.
User Mindset: You bring empathy into your testing process, thinking like an end-user to identify what’s confusing, broken, or missing.
Process Builder: You know how to design repeatable systems, write clear documentation, and scale QA in a fast-moving environment.
Collaborator: Strong communicator and cross-functional partner—you're comfortable working with engineers, product managers, and artist success.
Detail-Oriented: You notice the little things and won’t let bugs slip through the cracks.
