This position combines deep technical expertise with strategic consulting skills, working closely with internal teams, client stakeholders, and Adobe partners to design new solutions, optimize existing deployments, and troubleshoot issues when needed. You will be a trusted advisor who ensures that every AEP solution is aligned with client marketing objectives, built for scale, and optimized for performance.

  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Role and Responsibilities

  • AEP Solution Architecture & Delivery
  • Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of scalable AEP solutions, including data ingestion, identity resolution, segmentation, and omnichannel activation.
  • Define XDM Individual Profile and XDM Experience Event schemas in AEP; migrate customer profiles from legacy systems to AEP.
  • Optimize AEP implementations for performance, scalability, and governance while ensuring compliance with Adobe’s security model and client privacy requirements.
  • Develop integration strategies between AEP and other Adobe Experience Cloud solutions (Target, Campaign, AEM, Audience Manager, Analytics) and non-Adobe platforms (Salesforce, Braze, Iterable).

  • Client Engagement & Advisory
  • Collaborate with client business and technical teams to gather requirements, define use cases, and create end-to-end solution designs.
  • Present solutions, roadmaps, and technical recommendations to senior-level stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops, demos, and training sessions for client and internal teams on AEP best practices.
  • Serve as a go-to subject matter expert for personalization strategies, customer data management, and marketing technology optimization.

  • Pre-Sales & Thought Leadership
  • Support business development by creating solution proposals, scoping estimates, and demonstrating AEP capabilities.
  • Contribute to packaged offerings, accelerators, and reusable assets that streamline delivery and maximize ROI.
  • Stay current with AEP product roadmap, industry trends, and emerging marketing technologies to inform solution strategies.

  • Experience identifying functional and non-functional requirements, and translating them into scalable architectures.
  • Strong understanding of personalization strategies, marketing data models, and omnichannel orchestration.
  • Proficient in SQL for data analysis
  • Exceptional client-facing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or related field—or equivalent experience.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
