This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands. To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occured since the game's launch 4 years ago.
Mob Entertainment is looking for a talented QA Manager to oversee and direct the quality assurance team to ensure the quality of games and software. This manager is responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, managing the QA team, and working with development teams to identify and resolve defects.

What you’ll do:
- Oversee QA processes:
Establishing and maintaining quality assurance standards, including testing methodologies / standards, defect tracking systems, and release procedures. - Lead and manage QA teams:
Guide and mentor QA testers, ensuring they are trained and equipped to effectively identify and document defects. Additionally, manage multiple groups of external QA testers, and expand Mob Entertainment’s beta testing program. - Work with development teams:
Collaborate with game developers and designers to understand the game's features, functionality, and design, and to ensure that the game meets the required quality standards. - Identify and prioritize defects:
Work with both internal and external QA testers to identify bugs, glitches, and other issues that could detract from the user experience, and then prioritize those issues based on their impact on the game's playability and overall quality. - Track and report defects:
Keep track of the defects identified, their status (e.g., open, in progress, resolved), and any follow-up actions that are needed. - Manage the QA budget and resources:
Ensure that the QA team has the necessary resources (staffing, software, hardware, training) to effectively perform their duties.
Specific Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of video game development
Understanding game mechanics, development workflows, and the challenges of game development is essential. Must have experience with the idiosyncrasies of Unreal Engine, single and multiplayer games, and the overall environment is a plus. - Experience with game testing methodologies
Familiarity with various testing techniques, such as functional testing, performance testing, and user interface testing, is required. Experience with leading teams and testing across multiple platforms is mandatory. - Knowledge of defect tracking tools
Proficiency in using tools, such as Jira, to track and manage defects is necessary. - Leadership and communication skills:
Effectively communicate with team members, developers, and other stakeholders. Be the driver of communication, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are tracking issues within their domains. - Analytical skills
They need to be able to analyze game data and identify patterns and trends related to the game's quality. Advise on relevant capturable analytics to aid production in assessing procedural shortcomings. - Problem-solving skills:
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the game's quality.
