Proposal Manager

Virtual Peaker is looking for a Proposal Manager that will help solve the climate crisis by supporting our mission of building the utility of the future. 

Role Responsibilities

As a Proposal Manager you will be responsible for creating and delivering proposals ensuring timely delivery and accuracy. You will work closely with the lead Account Executive or Account Manager to develop appropriate win themes and content. You are responsible for managing, editing, and creating content related to proposal creation and delivery. You will work cross functionally with other departments and subject matter experts based on the proposal requirements.  Day-to-day, you can expect to:

  •  Manage the proposal process start to finish for RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  •  Manage and on timely delivery of short projects (4-8 weeks) with firm external deadlines.
  •  Ensure proposals are completed, accurate, well written, and submitted on time.
  •  Work cross functionally ensuring the appropriate teams are reviewing and completing the appropriate proposal documents.
  •  Edit content to form a cohesive story.
  •  Write content as needed to complete proposals.

Education & Experience

Candidate will ideally have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
  •  2+ years of experience writing, editing, and managing content (writing samples may be requested as part of the interview process).
  •  Two to four years in a role supporting the sale or sourcing of software as a service (SaaS)
  •  Excellent written communication skills.
  •  Excellent project and time management skills.
  •  Ability to work cross functionally and ensure all subject matter experts hit deadlines.
  •  Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  •  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software.

Nice to Have:

  •  Experience and / or interest in the energy / utility industry is a plus
  •  Familiarity with Hubspot (or related software)
