What we are looking for…

A highly motivated and organized Utilities Coordinator to assist with the end-to-end coordination, execution, and management of AvantStay’s property utility accounts. The Utilities Coordinator will work cross-functionally with both internal stakeholders (Onboarding, Operations, Owner Relations, Finance) and external stakeholders (utility companies, data management solutions). This person is a resilient and resourceful problem solver who loves to act in a project management capacity.

What you'll do...

  • Develop strategies that will enable AvantStay to onboard and manage utilities at a rapid growth rate and at scale
  • Oversee the timely setup and deactivation of utility accounts for all incoming and outgoing AvantStay properties, including managed assets, leased assets, acquired portfolios and hotel-style properties
  • Create and execute against standard operating procedures for troubleshooting real-time utility issues for in-home AvantStay guests, such as internet or power outages, and property owners who have time-sensitive questions about accounts at their homes
  • Work cross-functionally to develop future-focused, robust, and actionable organizational structures that will house utility account information for 1,000+ properties
  • Vet and implement third-party systems and external partners related to utility setup, payments, accounting and ongoing management
  • Analyze ongoing utility costs to the business and leverage opportunities to decrease costs via strategic partnerships and operational efficiencies.

What you'll bring...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in property property or project management
  • Previous experience in hospitality, real estate, and/or property management a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Ability to prioritize numerous competing tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to wear multiple hats and get your hands dirty when needed.
