Technical Program Manager

ClubLabs is the digital acceleration team for Automobile Club of Southern California, also known as, AAA. We are the team responsible for

building intuitive customer experiences across the organizations insurance, membership, financial, emergency roadside, and travel services. We’

re a team of engineers, designers, researchers and product managers within AAA delivering maximum value to our members and business for a

smarter future.

We’re currently in the search for an ambitious, empathic, and collaborative Technical Program Manager who will have an opportunity to help

addressing significant business-impacting processes and products. The right candidate possesses a solid understanding of and experience in the

implementation of the basic elements and protocols of software engineering, effective written and verbal communication, program and project

management experience.

As a Technical Program Manager, You Will:

  • Facilitate the technical implementation of new features in a highly collaborative work environment alongside product managers,
  • engineers, vendors.
  • Align teams toward simple, coherent approaches. You create and optimize cross-team structures and mechanisms.
  • Be the "glue" between disparate engineering teams across organizations, departments, systems and initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with product and technical leaders. Influencing the priority and roadmaps of multiple teams.
  • Work with the product management and engineering teams to identify technical requirements, limitations, and bottlenecks.
  • Work with procurement, legal, information security teams to execute contracts with vendor.
  • Run technology migration program, compliance program, infrastructure update program.

A Technical Program Manager at Clublabs is expected to have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of industry experience with technical subjects and emerging technologies.
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented principles, algorithms and complexity analysis.
  • Solid understanding and experience of Software Architecture patterns and principles.
  • Experience working with Vendors on setting up contracts, engagement, migration and compliance programs.
  • Experience working cross functionally with engineering, product management, and other functions involved in product lifecycle.
  • Experience in the hybrid On-prem and Cloud computing implementation and integration.
  • Experience project managing large scale and complex software initiatives.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with public cloud platform like AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred
