Ring’s is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to help the Data Engineering teams deliver on highly cross-functional projects to build best in class data platforms and services. You will work closely with our team to plan and coordinate the execution of complex business needs, while simultaneously keeping your team focused on meeting their own commitments. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive of and design innovative data products. Program Managers at Ring must be capable of sorting through many competing priorities, defining processes that improve execution, championing Engineering best practices, executing with precision, and succeeding in a complex and fast paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business, Engineering, and other internal teams to define business needs
  • Work with remote and multi-site teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines
  • Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, and change control
  • Be expected to dive deep into the technical details of the program
  • Proactively solve day-to-day challenges and exercise sound judgment

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems)
  • 5+ years Technical program management in a software engineering environment
  • 2+ experience with large-scale data collection, transformation, and modeling for business analytics
  • 2+ years of experience with building and deploying data APIs and Systems
  • 2+ years of experience with software development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 1+ years of experience with business and engineering teams to improve products and operations
  • 1+ years of experience with collecting requirements, writing functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of AWS services (S3, IAM, DynamoDB, EC2)
  • Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS)
  • Familiarity with Elastic Search, Splunk, Kinesis analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills to earn trust and influence partners and teams
  • Fluency with Atlassian SCM Suite (Confluence/JIRA)
  • PMP and CSM certifications preferred
  • Prior experience as a software developer
