We are looking to expand our Operations team as we continue to grow. The Supply Chain Associate we are looking to hire is extremely detail oriented and analytical. An ideal candidate is comfortable working cross-functionally to achieve desired results for our plants as well as our customers. You are eager for impact and are known for rolling-up your sleaves.
What You’ll Do:
- Work directly with a Manager on the supply chain team to improve how we manage inbound / outbound logistics, and our inventory strategy.
- Serve as the point person for problem solving and process improvement with our carriers and freight forwarders
- Support Managers on the supply chain team in implementing and executing our core supply chain strategy
- Analyze the financial impact of logistical processes and proposed changes to determine maximum efficiency in terms of routing, transportation modes, and resources while continuing to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logistics data for daily, weekly, and quarterly reports
- Conduct external research to ensure we are making use of best practices and obtaining best-in-class rates
What We’re Looking For:
Strong candidates will have the ability to break down problems logically, develop hypotheses and evaluate with data. They will have strong attention to detail and can quality check their own analytics. Specific qualifications include:
- 0-3 years of professional experience working in the logistics space
- A bachelor’s degree focused on logistics, analytics, engineering or other math / science / tech field
- Familiarity with supply chain / logistics processes (e.g. import, freight-forwarding, warehouse management)
- Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
