About the Strategy and Operations Associate (Headspace for Work) at Headspace:

Headspace is looking for a Strategy and Operations Associate for Headspace for Work; a fast growing health and wellness focused software-as-a-service division of Headspace. Headspace for Work aims to develop products and programs that empower every organization in the world to build mindful, healthy cultures and workforces. 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Strategy, and supporting the General Manager of Headspace for Work, this individual will work with a cross-functional team to develop project or resource proposals; programs and processes that deliver against business objectives; and drive execution of tasks large and small by flexing world class project or program management muscles. Moreover, you will develop a data-backed point of view on organization direction, strategy, and operations. 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound business acumen, identify areas of strategy or tactical misalignment, and with hyper-proactivity, jump into identifying solutions across the organization.

To be a standout candidate, you need to have a deep understanding of our product and mission, and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a strategy or operational role in SaaS technology companies, business consulting, creative agency project management, or as a chief of staff. Essentially, you’ve used your mind, data, and execution abilities to move the business forward in meaningful, measurable, and visible ways.

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

  • Work closely with cross-functional partners including, Sales, Success, Business Development, Marketing, Design, Product, Content, Science, and Engineering teams to ensure a coordinated and deliberate approach toward launching complex projects
  • Help create a culture of urgency, craftpersonship, and a “no-job-too-small” standard by leading by example
  • Track and manage budget against initiatives in order to keep delivery and expenses aligned throughout a project or program lifecycle
  • Help define, track and manage company key performance indicators (OKRs) associated with the business
  • Drive, build, and scale repeatable business processes to continuously improve operational efficiency and efficacy
  • Conduct comprehensive business and market analysis (e.g., market research, competitive analysis, etc.) to develop near and long-term strategy, positioning, and tactical execution roadmaps

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 3+ years of professional experience with a top tier consulting firm, creative agency, or working as a project manager within a SaaS startup tech company
  • Driven and have the ability to demonstrably show projects, programs, or initiatives that you’ve managed from start to finish that required the ability to think from 10,000 feet and get into fine detail for the project(s)
  • Mastered exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication
  • Demonstrable (through references) ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally
  • Built business acumen, developed a strong analytical background, and have the ability to troubleshoot on the fly
  • College degree required, MBA from top tier school preferred

We're located in the heart of Santa Monica on Michigan + Cloverfield, just off the 10 freeway. Bergamont train station is right behind our office.
