The Responsibilities  

  • Partner with Associate, Senior Associate & Associate Media Directors in development of media plan options and recommendations
  • Gather and analyze data to provide strategic, consumer-insights driven media recommendations
  • Work with implementation groups (social, search, analytics), to develop combined strategies and budget allocations across media channels
  • Deliver POVs/position papers on key client issues and/or client opportunities
  • Act as a daily liaison to clients, providing support and managing deliverables and timelines for smooth planning and launch cycles
  • Lead and ensure proper execution of media plans with support of Associate and oversight of Associate Directors
  • Maintain accurate budget control and flow of media activity and proactively update Associate Directors and appropriate client contact(s)
  • Regularly monitor and analyze campaigns with Associate to recommend strategic and tactical changes to maximize campaign performance (i.e., pacing reports)
  • Prepare media authorizations per approved plans/project requests
  • Oversee monthly billing led by Associate
  • Help oversee and participate in quarterly reporting across all campaigns
  • Act with high integrity to maintain strong, collaborative, productive working relationships across all internal and external teams and partners
  • Provide timely and accurate delivery of all work
  • Train and develop Associate(s), as well as review work for accuracy
  • Demonstrate a desire to create improvement and better outcomes through innovation / approaching things in new ways
  • Continuously think of new solutions to our team's work / client challenges
  • Successfully complete required training program(s)

Our Requirements  

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 2+ years of related media planning experience with heavy digital media focus
  • Strong understanding of media fundamentals, including media math, target audience development, DCM trafficking and Prisma
  • Strong understanding of the media planning process, from brief development to execution to reporting, and experience leading at least 3+ campaigns
  • Experience liaising with clients directly in a daily capacity to effectively plan and move projects along
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, proactivity and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a team, handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Strongly business-minded, extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ambition by keeping abreast of industry trends through trade news, industry workshops / seminars and tracking current events
  • Foster inspiration through appropriate participation in team, agency, and industry initiatives
  • Digitally savvy, with specific proficiency at MS Suite: Excel (especially Pivot Tables), PowerPoint and industry research tools such as Telmar, Comscore, Kantar, and Commspoint
