As a Senior Project Manager, your tasks may vary day-to-day but primarily will focus on best-of-class project management of cloud consulting engagements, including technical transformation, optimization, and configuration. In your role, you will have a high-level understanding of:

  • Core concepts such as EC2, S3, RDS, Dynamo, Route53, CloudWatch

  • Concepts of the AWS Well-Architected Framework 

What You’ll Be Doing 

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.

  • Monitor project progress continuously - develop and deliver detailed scheduled status reports inclusive of budgets, timelines, deliverables, issues, risks and action items to customers and fellow team members.

  • Ensure the “As Delivered” margin is actively managed as closely as possible to the “As Sold” margin.

  • Actively manage scope changes through the change order process inclusive of time and/or cost revisions.

  • Utilize project management delivery templates for deliverables within each phase of the overall PS methodology.

  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.

  • Facilitate discussions between external and internal customers, third-party partners, etc. to support the successful delivery of project services.

  • Work alongside Mission technical counterparts to create and manage detailed project implementations plans for customer projects

  • Work with Mission service delivery leadership and sales resources to scope work efforts for project services.

  • Engage with different internal organization teams as needed

  • Work with a diverse team and globally located customers

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

  • 5+ years project management related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Successful experience with building and managing of project budgets inclusive of change order management

  • Experience managing projects to on-time, successful completions as viewed by both the external and internal customers

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in technical consulting, including direct management/interactions with customers

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment 

  • Analytical skills to assist in the resolution of complex issues that may be time sensitive

  • Ability to provide high-level support for customers

  • Ability to estimate effort to complete tasks

  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, document and manage activities

  • Experienced problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary - a sense of accountability and sound personal judgment

  • Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills 

  • Passion for technology and continuous education

Not Required, But Would Be Helpful

  • Experience managing external vendors as part of a consulting engagements

  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM

  • Knowledge of ITIL practices (Change Management, Problem Management)

  • Project Management Professional certification a plus
