Senior Launch Systems PMP Project Engineer

Key Functions
Serve as the Technical Point of Contact (POC) for all Aerospace activities associated with EEEE Parts, Materials and Processes for the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy Launch Vehicles within the Launch Systems Division.
Lead/direct activities related to PMP/Radiation analysis, design, evaluation, and testing of flight hardware. Manage Aerospace ETG studies for the independent verification and validation of requirements with respect to Parts Materials and Processes.
Prepare reports, briefings, and documents as needed in support of program activities and Aerospace processes.
Collaborate with management, SMC, NASA, NRO, contractor and component engineering personnel to resolve issues related to risk assessments of compliance of contractor processes, procedures, test data, related to the design, selection, and application of EEE parts
Serve as the primary interface for developing and executing effective processes to advise USAF/SMC during the risk assessment of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts, based on SMC-S-011, throughout the life cycle of launch vehicles
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor of Science in an appropriate technical discipline such as electrical engineering, physics, or materials science from an accredited university
Typically eight or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience, including experience in a systems engineering and/or program management environment
Typically eight or more years of experience with increasing responsibility and related engineering experience required with an in-depth knowledge of related space industry standards (SMC S 009, 010, and 011) and EEEE component standards such as MIL PRFs, and AEC.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and contractors. Demonstrated ability to assemble and manage technical teams.
Exhibit high level of innovation, creativeness, and initiative
Good written and oral communication skills across all levels and disciplines.
Strong PC skills in application such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

Demonstrated ability to establish lead, and maintain effective working relationships with customers and contractors. Demonstrated ability to assemble and manage technical teams
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level Aerospace and customer management
Experience collaborating with contractors, industry working groups and/or associations such as NASA Electronics Parts Assurance Group, Defense Logistics Agency, Joint Electron Device Engineering Council, Automotive Electronics Council, during the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of active electronic parts for space related applications
Current active secret clearance issued by US Government
