What we are looking for…

A strategic and forward-thinking Senior Director of Vendor Management to oversee our vendor operations. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing the processes and procedures to monitor AvantStay’s vendors, ensuring they are performing and meeting business requirements, creating national or multi-market partnerships with maintenance vendors including HVAC/landscaping/pest control/cleaning vendors, and identifying and eliminating any risks associated with third-party vendors. The ideal candidate has experience managing vendor relationships at scale, negotiating contracts at scale, and acting on behalf of a company’s best interests. 

What you’ll do…

• Drive operational excellence by implementing processes to track vendor success including developing applicable systems and tools. 
• Develop and negotiate vendor rates with established vendors. 
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) with our critical vendors.
• Develop and drive metrics such as SLA monitoring, vendor scorecards, and vendor risk ratings.
• Develop programs to monitor coverages, upcoming contract renewals and prepare for vendor re-negotiation. 
• Partner closely with cross functional teams to ensure vendors meet business and security requirements and standards, and drive vendor outputs. 
• Lead day to day vendor operations within your team, ensuring critical metrics for quality and efficiency are met.
• Identify new vendor opportunities and maintain relationships with existing vendor client service leaders and site operations leads. 
• Manage outsourcing spend to stay within the monthly budget and/or justify needed investments of incremental staffing or programs
• Train, coach, and mentor vendor management team members.

What you’ll bring…

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Masters Degree in Business Administration, Operations, or Organizational Development a plus
• 10+ years experience in global operations and vendor management; experience in hospitality or short-term rentals a plus
• Proven success as a trusted leader and advisor in a high-growth environment; ability to lead teams and gain buy in across departments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience in contract negotiations required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment
