Sunrise Integration is hiring for a technical Project Manager to lead agile e-commerce software development teams on-site at our HQ in Hollywood, CA.

The ideal candidate will be an energized leader, with enthusiasm for e-commerce software projects, adept at creative problem solving, customer success, analytical and eager to take on responsibility and grow with the business. She/he will enjoy working in a small, very startup-like agile organization and be a part of a creative, positive and quality-oriented environment.

Our business is an exciting mix of both services and software-as-a-service (Saas) products. We are leaders in the engineering of enterprise-grade software applications for e-commerce, SaaS and supply chain companies. If you've worked for an e-commerce company, tech startup, IT consultant or a digital agency you'll understand what we bring to the table.

Data integrations are part of our business, but we are at our core a full-service dev shop and have a very nimble team, low-ego and friendly developer-centric culture, with a high bar for talent, positive attitude and room for advancement as the company grows.

This is a great opportunity to use your skills in project / program management and web technologies while working on business-critical client web-services and consumer software. In this position you will maintain projects while detailing process, project plans, tasks, milestones, project lifecycle and communicating with the client. 

This position requires technical knowledge about e-commerce, understanding of agile methodologies, excellent management skills and experience in leading projects with teams. Successful candidates must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

We are looking for candidates with a few years of experience as a PM, with a certification in PMP or Scrum / Agile and familiarity with e-commerce. A business degree or tech background is a big plus. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Management of e-commerce software projects from concept to launch to ensure goals, milestones and project deadlines

  • Drive a mix of agile scrum and kanban projects, leading daily standups and sprint planning

  • Plan and coordinate deliverables including writing proposals, parsing requirements and contacting clients

  • Develop project road maps and communicate deadlines to the development team

  • Engage directly with clients including weekly meetings and emails

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to the development teams to ensure deadlines are met

  • Compile client’s requirements and manage requests

  • Keep client’s up-to-date on project status and potential issues

  • Responsible for scope control with internal & external parties

  • Resolve project, design, or resource issues before they cause schedule delays

  • Manage QA/Testing schedules with release timelines

  • Work with teams and vendors in different time zones

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required in related or similar management field

  • AGILE/SCRUM certification or significant experience in an agile scrum environment

  • Understanding of software development project lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment

  • Experience in a web software project manager role or equivalent experience leading software development teams

  • Strong written and oral communication/presentation skills

  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, time-management and organizational skills

  • Successful track record in working with business and technology teams to develop, test and launch products

  • Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines for concurrent projects

  • Self-starter who can demonstrate leadership in a technology-based environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

  • Basic familiarity with e-commerce including concepts like orders, customers, inventory, fulfillment

  • Basic knowledge of web software technologies, including APIs, databases, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS & JavaScript is a plus

 

Unicorns Will Have:

  • Deep experience with e-commerce and/or logistics

  • Product management experience

  • Experience with compliance, security, government or regulated business

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise business software and data integrations

  • Worked in or around venture-backed tech startups

  • A passion for working in the tech industry
