Project Coordinator
THE PURPOSE:
The Engineering Program Management Office (EPMO) is responsible for Virgin Hyperloop One’s extensive portfolio of projects that are complex and challenging. These internal and external projects must adhere to the agreed project scope, budget, and schedule.
VHO needs a Project Coordinator to join the EPMO team to provide project management support, liaison between project stakeholders and internal resources, while supporting with project planning, schedules, and scope. Join the team responsible for ensuring VHO meets all program deliverables and together we can change the way the world views transportation.
THE ROLE:
As the Project Coordinator you will assist with maintaining project plans in close collaboration with various project managers who partner with design, testing, manufacturing, and procurement teams
- Help Project and Functional Managers with scheduling and executing SCRUM Master day to day responsibilities
- Works under a project manager to coordinate with stakeholders, and internal/external clients.
- Assist with maintaining project plans as the project progresses, document changes, and maintain documentation for projects assigned
- Support the project team with maintaining schedules, escalating risks, deconflicting schedules, project charters, and provide project status updates for presentations
- Partner with Project managers to effectively document best practices, lessons learned, and process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
THE CANDIDATE:

- You are an effective problem solver who can assess an issue and determine a course of action with minimal guidance
- High energy and a positive outlook with the passion to make things better
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Capable to work in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree STEM or equivalent, or relevant project or work experience
- Experience working in a project coordinating role, internship, or class project
- Strong business acumen in project planning and management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge or previous experience with one or more engineering areas: electrical systems, propulsion, electromagnetic systems, battery, manufacturing, R&D and testing
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project and JIRA
- Experience with Agile Methods
