As a Camera Image Quality Technical Program Manager, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and bring innovative consumer electronics products and services to market. You will lead an internal interdisciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test for Camera System and drive Image Quality for Ring Camera devices. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. The ideal candidate has current and extensive experience in developing all aspects of camera systems in both engineering and managerial capacities.

· Knows what is important when shipping products to customers and has been through the process from start to finish

· Is comfortable with proactive outward communication and technical leadership and never shies away from a challenge

Responsibilities

  • Design world-class camera systems 
  • Broad cross-functional engineering interaction with an emphasis on delighting customers with innovation in the consumer electronics space
  • Keeps the customer in mind when designing systems
  • Working with vendors, factories to define effective manufacturing and QA camera processes 
  • Is comfortable with proactive outward communication and technical leadership and never shies away from a challenge
  • Drive building robust methodology and processes to deliver technology to products

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of current experience working in consumer electronics environment and/or working on camera systems
  • Experience analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection
  • Experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets
  • Experience and participation in designing algorithms and driving software quality processes for camera systems 
  • Experience in designing and driving camera manufacturing processes 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience development and management on camera systems 
  • Experience in working on Image Quality Tuning, Camera or Image Sensor technologies design and deployment
  • Up to date familiarity with cutting edge innovations in Sensor, Lens, Camera Subsystem and Computer Vision domains. 
  • Good understanding of objective and subjective video and image quality metrics and tools
  • Experience in photography and fluency in high end DSLR or similar equipment is a great plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Data analysis skills
  • Experience with embed and cloud software, Android Camera APIs 
  • Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication skills
