THE ROLE

The Creative Project Manager role is essential to the success of our fast-growing Marketing Team. As a key team member, you will make a direct impact on the quality of marketing materials delivered through online, television, email, events, and even billboards on behalf of the Outer brand. Reporting to the Director of Content, the successful person in this role will bring a strong sense of ownership and a can-do attitude.  

Given the stage of Outer and the ever-evolving business strategy and needs of the company, this role will change over time. New and exciting opportunities arise every day and we are looking for candidates who will embrace and be motivated by that flexibility.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Produce breakthrough creative assets to support marketing campaigns and product launches leading end to end production and communication of each deliverable. 
• Act as day-to-day management and communication hub on a multitude of projects ranging from traditional, print, digital, social and broadcast, acting as the liaison between our internal teams.
• Schedule and attend all internal meetings: kick-off, brainstorms, internal creative reviews and pre-production.
• Act as a true partner to each marketing channel lead to ensure they’re on task and informed, and that all creative resources are in alignment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment while adapting to project change.
• Meet both long lead and urgent deadlines alike as well as troubleshoot to build plan B, C if timelines cannot be met.
• Partner with marketing leads to gather clear creative feedback for the creative team to execute against.
• Simultaneously manage the creative asset production with both the internal creative team and an external creative agency on the same project.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING ON DAY ONE

• 2-5 years of integrated project management experience. (Agency experience is a huge plus!)
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and project management methodologies.
• Experience working with collaboration tools such as Asana, Slack, Zoom.

ABOUT OUTER

Outer started by creating the perfect outdoor sofa: beautiful, durable, comfortable, and innovative. We also invented a new model for retail because we believe that the furniture buying experience can be much better than stale, traditional showrooms with four walls, fluorescent lighting, and pushy salespeople. Our Neighborhood Showroom platform turns our customers' backyards into our physical showrooms where our customers can see, touch, and feel our products in a real backyard alongside a real customer (think: Airbnb meets retail).

Our Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer was the former Head Furniture Designer at Pottery Barn, and our founding team brings decades of experience from Casper, IDEO, Nike, Thrive Market, Match.com, and Riot Games.
