About the Role

This role will manage execution of day-to-day compliance program oversight tasks for multiple health insurance products across multiple jurisdictions.  This role reports within the Compliance Oversight team.  

What You'll Do 

  • Maintain and oversee Compliance Oversight systems and processes 
  • Facilitate and track corporate compliance training requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the Company’s Regulatory Affairs department to receive, summarize and distribute new or updated requirements
  • Publish and facilitate maintenance of corporate policies and procedures
  • Receive, investigate, and report conflict of interest scenarios
  • Execute monthly exclusion screening
  • Complaints (e.g. HICS) and Investigations
  • Collaborate with operational partners in the review of corporate records or documents to verify compliance and/or adherence with regulatory agency requirements or requests
  • Develop and manage staff within the Compliance Oversight team
  • Influence design of compliance program procedures and system for a start-up company
  • Manage projects with frequent interdepartmental participation and collaboration
  • Manage and enforce deadline driven tasks
  • Stay updated on existing and changing federal and state regulations, standards, and guidance that impact the company’s products and processes
  • Participate on product project teams and provide input for regulatory requirements that may impact products and business

What You'll Bring 

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a compliance role in the health insurance industry
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Certificated in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), or equivalent, preferred
  • Affordable Care Act (ACA) product experience in compliance or operations strongly preferred
  • Detail oriented skillset
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Project management experience with successful results
  • Hands-on experience in a compliance role in the health insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of health care industry processes and regulations, particularly the Affordable Care Act, and the agencies that regulate the industry
  • Understanding of and affinity for the Sidecar Health mission – making great, affordable healthcare available to all
  • A deep desire to change the status quo
