We are hiring a Business Operations Coordinator to help us realize our mission to better the lives of animals by building a place that’s better for all of us who love them. Acting as an operational partner across the organization, this role will ensure our team works cross-functionally and seamlessly to manage change and growth. The Business Operations Coordinator will be responsible for communications and change management across our care and office teams, and supporting the successful opening of new clinics nationwide.

In this role, we are looking for a strong individual who is passionate about pets and the people who love them, and is excited about rolling up their sleeves to bring our mission to life as we grow. This role is based in Los Angeles and will require travel, local and national, including significant time in our clinics and develop an expertise in the operational foundations of Modern Animal.

What the job entails:

  • New Clinic Opening Project Management: Support the New Clinic Opening process. Ensure all cross-functional partners are working together to improve and simplify clinic opening processes overtime. 
  • Company & Clinic Calendar Management: Ensure teams across the business are proactively planning and executing on their intended goals. Manage the cadence in which changes are happening and work closely with the training team to ensure our teams have the tools and resources that they need to feel successful with each new change. 
  • Clinic & Company Coordinated Communications: Own internal communication forModern Animal. This includes, but is not limited to, how we share updates, how we manage and educate our teams through changes of all sizes, and how we communicate between clinics. This work will be highly cross-functional across the entire business. Ensure any communications can be acted on effectively, while considering the “gulp rate” of the field team to absorb information and act upon it brilliantly. 
  • Tools & Standards Organization: Ensure standards and processes - provided by clinical and medical experts - are maintained, organized and updated to ensure quality and consistency, and easily accessible and well communicated across the care team.

Why you'd be a great fit:

  •  2-3+ years of operations and / or cross-functional project management experience in a high growth, dynamic, scaling enterprise
  • Specific functional experience in retail, new store openings or operations is preferred
  • Collaborative go-getter, willing to roll-up sleeves and be hands-on 
  • Enthusiasm for thinking outside the box to tackle complex challenges 
  • Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage multiple project simultaneously 
  • Operate with high emotional intelligence and exceptional listening / communication skills
