Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Abramson Labor Group is seeking a resourceful, technology-savvy Project Manager to support the Managing Partner on executive-level initiatives. This role acts as a direct extension of the Managing Partner — driving projects forward, coordinating across departments, and representing the Managing Partner's priorities in communications with internal staff and outside vendors. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on variety, is comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects, and can be trusted to speak and act on the Managing Partner's behalf when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Executive Project Support

  • Work directly with the Managing Partner to plan, organize, and execute a variety of executive-level projects
  • Act on behalf of the Managing Partner in communications with internal teams, vendors, and outside parties when directed
  • Drive projects forward independently — anticipate roadblocks, follow up proactively, and push initiatives through to completion
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as the Managing Partner's needs shift
  • Obtain and compare quotes from vendors and service providers to support decision-making

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between the Managing Partner and internal departments to keep projects moving
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, vendors, and outside contacts, both verbally and in writing
  • Track project status, deadlines, and deliverables, providing regular updates to the Managing Partner
  • Use project management tools and general software platforms to organize tasks, timelines, and communications

Qualifications

  • A collaborative, fast-paced environment with room to grow
  • Prior experience in professional services (law, finance, insurance, healthcare admin, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to improve workflows, streamline systems, and lead through change
  • Comfortable using data and metrics to track performance and drive accountability
  • Strong communication and leadership presence
  • Fast learner with a bias toward action and big-picture thinking
  • Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Teams).

Required

  • Strong technology and software proficiency; comfortable learning and using new tools quickly
  • Working knowledge of project management tools/platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful "go-getter" who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to manage several projects at once and keep them moving to completion
  • Strong judgment and discretion when representing the Managing Partner
  • Comfortable working a hybrid schedule, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PST

Preferred

  • Legal industry background or experience supporting law firm leadership
  • Prior experience in a project management or executive assistant capacity

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive hourly pay: $27.00 – $37.00, DOE
  • Hybrid work schedule
  • Direct mentorship and visibility working alongside firm leadership
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, and retirement plan.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development within the firm.
  • A supportive work environment dedicated to teamwork, integrity, and excellence in client service.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
