Role Summary

We’re hiring a Project Manager to drive execution of strategic and operational projects in Financial Services. You’ll run structured delivery across a wide range of initiatives — launching new services, integrating external partners, rolling out compliance and KYC/KYB policies, improving cash operations with agents/super agents, enabling new payment flows, etc.

You sit in the middle of Product, Compliance, Finance/Treasury, Engineering, Ops, and Growth. Your job is simple: keep the plan real, keep owners accountable, and land the project in production with minimal drama.

What You’ll Own

  • 1. Project Delivery :
  • Own and drive end-to-end delivery of Financial Services projects from kick-off through launch.
  • Build and maintain clear project plans: scope, milestones, owners, deadlines, risks.
  • Push the project forward daily, unblock issues, and escalate when needed (before it’s on fire).
  •
  • 2. Cross-Functional Coordination :
  • Align Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance/Treasury, Ops, Growth, and external partners around one plan.
  • Make sure each team knows: what they owe, by when, and what happens if they slip.
  • Capture decisions in writing and circulate updates so there is one source of truth.
  •
  • 3. Regulatory & Compliance Readiness :
  • Work with Compliance to ensure that projects respect internal policies (KYC/KYB, limits, AML triggers, cash handling, reporting).
  • Collect required documentation (policies, procedures, approval flows) and make sure they’re in place before go-live.
  •
  • 4. Operational Readiness :
  • Ensure operational teams (agent network, support, finance ops, treasury, etc.) are ready to run the flow on Day 1.
  • Confirm that we know: who monitors transactions, how refunds or reversals work, escalation path for incidents, and how money settles.
  •
  • 5. Launch & Stabilization :
  • Coordinate testing/UAT and sign-offs.
  • Run the go-live checklist and confirm all blockers are closed.
  • Monitor early performance and ensure any urgent post-launch fixes get an owner.

How You’ll Be Measured

  • On-time delivery of committed milestones.
  • Quality of launch (no major incident in first days/weeks).
  • Internal alignment: Compliance, Finance, and Ops signing off before go-live (not after).
  • Clarity of communication — no surprises for leadership.

What You Bring

  • Must-haves :
  • ~2–4 years of experience in fintech / payments / banking / telecom value-added services / PSP / wallet / financial operations / similar high-ownership environment.
  • You’ve previously managed or coordinated delivery of cross-functional projects (not only “followed up,” but actually drove timelines).
  • You’re comfortable sitting with engineers to clarify requirements AND sitting with Ops/Treasury to confirm how money moves.
  • You’re disciplined with tracking: action logs, RAID logs (Risks / Assumptions / Issues / Dependencies), status reports.
  • Strong written communication. If something isn’t written down, you assume it’s not real.
  •
  • Nice to have :
  • Exposure to regulated financial products (wallets, P2P, bill payment, settlement, limits/KYC).
  • Understanding of how funds flow, settlement/reconciliation, refunds, or cash collection works.
  • Familiarity with compliance topics (KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring, limits by tier, AML escalation paths).
  • Experience coordinating external partners / vendors / billers.
  •
  • Soft skills we care about
  • You escalate early, not emotionally.
  • You follow through. People learn that if you say “I’ll track this,” it’s tracked.
  • You’re comfortable saying “no, we’re not ready to launch yet” if Compliance/Finance hasn’t signed off.
  • You like structure. When there is none, you create it.

At Yassir, we believe in the power of diversity and the importance of an inclusive culture. So, if you're ready to bring your unique perspective and experiences to the table, then we're excited to listen.

Don't just apply for a job, come and be a part of our journey. Let's create a better tomorrow together.

We look forward to receiving your application!

Best of luck,
Your Yassir TA Team

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
