Job Summary:
This role drives business growth by identifying new revenue streams, establishing strategic client relationships, and turning qualified prospects into active accounts. Working alongside a dedicated team of Project Managers and Engineers, the position balances direct business development with mentoring team members to elevate their performance and professional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Sustain current project management responsibilities while overseeing all aspects of project pursuit, sales, engineering, and high-level budgeting for prospective clients.
  • Develop regional bid strategies, manage risk through thorough review processes, and establish appropriate project mark-ups.
  • Optimize team performance by strategically assigning clients and project workloads across plumbing and mechanical Project Managers and Engineers.
  • Supervise full-cycle project management from initial sales and contract development through pre-construction scheduling, execution, and final job completion.
  • Drive regional revenue and profit growth by expanding multi-discipline product offerings, developing key vertical markets, and converting prospective client pipelines.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities using market research, competitor analytics, and strategic relationship building.
  • Build strong consultative relationships with key decision-makers, hosting client shop tours to convey ACCO’s value proposition and align with customer objectives.
  • Foster collaborative internal relationships across department heads and project teams while upholding company culture and working environment.
  • Establish strong, trusted partnerships with external customers, vendors, and subcontractors to elevate ACCO's industry presence.
  • Lead talent initiatives by recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and developing Project Management staff while managing performance and team skill efficiencies.
     

Position Requirements (Work Experience, Skills, Licenses, etc.): 

  • Track record of professionally engaging high-level decision-makers and influencing key outcomes.
  • Proven ability to operate independently with sound discretionary judgment on when consulting executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and enterprise management/accounting software.
  • Highly respected internally and within the marketplace, with a steadfast commitment to ACCO’s culture, ethics policy, and building trust with senior leadership.
     

Education and Experience: 
Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales Management or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in estimating, design and management of HVAC and Mechanical projects from $5 million to $25+ million.
  • 10+ years of proven success leading, building, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Travel Requirements:
Travel required 10-50% of the time to other office and shop locations.

Hours: 
This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Work outside of regular hours may occasionally be necessary to meet business needs.

Competitive Wages: 

$150,285.00 to  $250,475.00 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
