Programmatic Media Planner and Activation Specialist (Contract)Role Summary
The Programmatic Media Planner and Activation Specialist is a dual-focus role designed to deliver high-performance cross-channel campaigns. You will be responsible for developing integrated media plans that balance investment with outcomes while ensuring strong campaign execution across programmatic platforms. This role combines the technical capabilities of a GMP Consultant with the hands-on management of a Media Manager to drive profitable growth and digital maturity for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Media Planning: Develop and deliver client facing media plans that align with business objectives and optimize investments across channels.
- Platform Management & Activation: Lead the end-to-end negotiation, setup, and execution of campaigns within DV360 and other programmatic platforms.
- Optimization & Performance: Perform ongoing campaign monitoring and optimizations to hit specific performance goals and profitable growth KPIs.
- Measurement & Reporting: Manage weekly and monthly reporting, creating live dashboards to track progress against a "source of truth" measurement solution.
- GMP Consulting: Provide reactive strategic guidance, account roadmapping, and technical support to clients who have licensed Google Marketing Platforms (GMP) with a heavy focus on DV360.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with teams across the agency to consolidate specialist recommendations against broader strategic frameworks.
- Programmatic Platform Mastery: Deep, expert-level utilization of DV360 and the wider Google Marketing Platform (GMP) suite.
- Advanced Media Planning: Proficiency in applying planning principles to balance investment with outcomes.
- Digital Maturity & Tech Setup: Experience with GMP tech licensing, tech maturity consultation, and aligning technology to industry best practices.
- Client Consultancy: Strong client-facing skills, including the ability to present evidence-backed recommendations and manage day-to-day relationship expectations.
- Full-Funnel Expertise: Ability to launch and scale plans across display, video, and other digital channels as part of an integrated planning process.
- Fully remote
- Must be available to support clients in multiple North American timezones
- Expect 20-30 hours per week for 3-6 months
- Work with Global Brands: Lead strategy and execution for world-class clients across various industries.
- Solve the Hard Problems: Get into the weeds to break down complex client challenges, constantly finding creative, custom solutions.
