OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Corporation

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX Media Services team is responsible for preparing and distributing FOX's content across Live, Linear, Non-linear, Digital, and Editorial platforms to partners inside and outside the organization. We're looking for a Program Manager to join our PMO Agile Office and bring order to the moving pieces that connect our teams' work to the business outcomes it's meant to deliver.

You'll coordinate several related projects and workstreams that all ladder up to a common business goal, keeping them aligned, on track, and pointed at the same outcome. Your focus is the connective tissue between teams: shared dependencies, sequencing, risks that span more than one workstream, and a consistent view of status for stakeholders and leadership.

You'll partner daily with scrum masters, product owners, developers, testers, leadership, business stakeholders, and integrating teams across Media Services. Tools like Jira, Confluence, Google Drive, and Slack are how the department runs, so you should be comfortable living in them.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program coordination: Coordinate multiple related projects and workstreams that share a common business goal, keeping each on track individually and aligned collectively.
  • Dependency management: Identify, track, and manage cross-team dependencies before they become blockers, escalating early and clearly when timelines or scope are at risk.
  • Cross-team alignment: Serve as the connective point across scrum masters, product owners, developers, testers, development leads, and other stakeholders involved in the program, keeping everyone working from the same plan.
  • Business outcomes: Keep the program anchored to why the work matters, regularly checking that the combined output of individual projects is on pace to deliver the intended business value, not just the individual deliverables.
  • Governance: Establish and run lightweight governance for the program, including status reviews, steering updates, RAID logs, and decision and escalation paths, so leadership always has a clear, current picture.
  • Status reporting: Produce consistent, accurate program status updates, dashboards, and leadership presentations, translating team-level detail into program-level insight for stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Meeting support: Facilitate and attend Scrum of Scrums, similar cross-team meetings, and if needed, agile ceremonies, helping surface and resolve issues that cut across multiple teams.
  • Agile process support: Schedule and help facilitate core Agile ceremonies, such as daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint planning, stepping in to keep a team's rituals running smoothly when needed.
  • Tooling & documentation: Maintain program-level roadmaps, timelines, and RAID logs in Jira and Confluence, and help teams keep their own tracking current and useful.
  • Resource visibility: Track resourcing and budget considerations across the program's constituent projects and flag conflicts or gaps to the appropriate owners.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Experience in program management, ideally coordinating multiple interdependent projects and workstreams toward a shared business goal.
  • Solid working knowledge of Agile software development frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or similar) and how program-level coordination fits around team-level execution.
  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including how development, QA, and release processes fit together, enough to support engineering teams meaningfully.
  • Hands-on experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence) for tracking dependencies, timelines, and status across multiple teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing ambiguity. You can hold the big picture of a program while staying on top of the details that make it real.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including building and delivering presentations, with the ability to translate detailed, team-level activity into clear updates for stakeholders and leadership.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach to identifying risks and dependencies before they become problems.
  • Comfort with recurring status reporting, metrics dashboards, and light data analysis to support program decisions.
  • Ability to schedule and facilitate core Agile ceremonies (standups, retrospectives, sprint planning) for a team, if needed.
  • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and/or Gemini to improve program management efficiency, including meeting summarization, status drafting, research, or reporting, is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with, or interest in, agentic coding / AI-assisted software development workflows is a plus as our teams begin transitioning toward this model.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
