In Countermeasure & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions (CEMA), we provide next-generation threat detection and countermeasure solutions to provide unparalleled electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. The CEMA Business Area generates $1 billion in revenue annually, operates across multiple sites and employs 1,700 individuals across the globe. The Advanced Compact EW Solutions (ACES) Product Line Director will lead the organization specialized in next-generation dispenser systems and countermeasures to help aircraft answer evolving IR and RF threats providing layers of defense.
This hybrid role requires regular on-site presence that will vary based on the needs of the business area and its leadership team. Only candidates who are, or will be, within local commuting distance will be considered.

Primary Responsibilities
- Be accountable for an effective and efficient Product Line so that sales, profit, cash flow and orders objectives are achieved and program execution remains a top priority.
- Ensure long term operational efficiency by supporting staff/organizational development across all functional domains
- Provide highly engaged and inclusive leadership that promotes a positive culture connecting the team to the mission and ensuring all voices are welcome.
- Develop close working relationships with diverse customer portfolio in support of current programs, and to help shape future growth opportunities.
- Make strategic decisions in a fast-paced competitive environment.
- Deal effectively with senior program level customers and partners and resolve customer issues of a complex nature
- Grow the business by developing winning proposals in new and international markets within the scope of the Product Line capabilities
- Ensure that programs within the Product Line receive the necessary support and services from the functional organizations to achieve program objectives.
- Ensure the achievement of program objectives, budgets, and schedules by analyzing performance measures and taking relevant corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure effective utilization of IR&D resources within the Product Line to achieve technical and competitive advantages in the marketplace.
- Grow strategic partnerships across all business areas to ensure product line performance and growth.
- Accountable for defining requirements of the Product Line by disciplined manpower planning and forecasting and by obtaining required personnel either through the relevant functional organizations or outside hire as appropriate.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Problem Solving Ability: Requires advanced conceptual thinking in complex and/or completely new situations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Developed communication skills to exchange complex information.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate at a high level with internal and external customers and partners, strong collaboration skills.
- Project Management: Project manager on large, complex projects responsible for all aspects of project objectives (performance, quality, schedule, cost)
- Risk and Opportunity management skills at a product line level.
- Broad knowledge of ES businesses and capabilities with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other PLs and businesses.
- Potential to advance to the VP/GM level
- Top Secret clearance required; TS-SCI preferred
- Demonstrated competency in driving growth through strategic leadership of new market growth and/or growth in international markets through the development of winning proposals.
- Demonstrate leadership in Safety, Code of Conduct/Ethics, Diversity, Security and culture
- Demonstrated ability to lead large groups of employees and/or teams and experience in developing teams and coaching future leaders
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Demonstrated ability as a customer advocate with successful resolution of customer issues. Experience in industry networking, participating in relevant roles, i.e. advisory boards.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute an entrepreneurial strategy
- Product Line P&L responsibility in a business with a diverse portfolio, including multiple contracts and products/services/suppliers and geographic locations serving a diverse set of military customers.
- Experience leading portfolios and teams in providing next generation detection systems to maximize countermeasure effectiveness, countering threats in countermeasure and optical EW domain and advancing vehicle and maritime situational awareness and self-protection.
- Experience leading successful international capture and follow through execution for international business.
- Alternate entry through functional leadership career path; lateral from a Director-level functional role. Individual will have experienced this role through multiple business cycles. Specific experience preferred includes:
- Transition to production program experience
- Exemplary risk & Opportunity management skills
- Supply Chain Management experience
- Design for Manufacturing experience on Design and Development program with knowledge of defect elimination/quality, productivity/COPQ
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead an organization through a crisis using change management skills.
- PMP certification
