Production Supervisor

Role Summary:
Production Supervisors direct activities within the operations team as it relates to production, inventory management, and quality. These highly motivated individuals ensure efficient production while promoting and working safely within established policies and procedures.

Work schedule: Mondays to Fridays from 6 am to 3 pm.

Location: Vernon, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Will supervise the Machining department (Manual &CNC)
• Implement Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc).
• Statistical control of the process.
• Production planning in different work centers.
• Management of KPIs (utilization, efficiency, productivity, scrap, rework).
• Analysis for the solution of problems in lean manufacturing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a machine shop environment.
• Solid experience in CNC machining.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (AMEF, VSM, 6's, SMED, etc) and Continuous Improvement tools.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel.
• Proven team management skills.
• Problem solving skills.

Preferred:

• BS or BA Degree in relevant field (Mechanical or industrial engineer).
• Experience in a Union setting.
• Experience with ISO-9000-14000
• Microsoft Project or similar.
• Knowledge of welding standards (AWS, ASME)
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement certifications.

Pay range for this role: $ 94,967 - 142,517 USD annually. Final offer will depend upon candidate's level of experience and requirements met.
