Production Planner

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Operations team.  This is a full-time onsite position located in Fremont, CA. This entry-level position is ideal for an individual looking to build a career in manufacturing, supply chain, or production planning.

The Production Planner will assist with scheduling production orders, monitoring inventory levels, supporting on-time delivery goals, and coordinating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Customer Service teams. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, analytical abilities, and a desire to learn planning processes and ERP systems.

• Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and inventory requirements.
• Release and monitor work orders to support on-time production and shipment goals.
• Coordinate daily with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.
• Track production progress and communicate schedule changes or potential delays.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify material shortages that could impact production.
• Maintain accurate planning data and transactions within the ERP system.
• Generate reports and assist with analyzing production performance, inventory trends, and scheduling efficiency.
• Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Assist with forecasting and capacity planning activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning and operational processes.
• Ensure planning activities are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Required

• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or scheduling.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

Preferred

• Internship, coursework, or previous experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, customer service, or inventory control.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Knowledge of basic inventory management and production planning concepts.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments.

For candidates in CA: The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $144,500 annually, exempt.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
