SUMMARY:

The Production Planner I (Direct/GMP) coordinates the scheduled activities to meet the customer’s Drug Product fill date requirements, which includes clinical trials through to commercial products. This role maintains the Drug Product Operations Work Orders through collaboration with Manufacturing, Scheduling, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Inventory Logistics, and Project management. This position works cross functionally to support operations, improve customer service, and plan effectively. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review, maintain, and release Drug Product Work Orders and Supplemental Work Order creation.

  • Review Batch record to ensure all raw materials needed are in Work Orders with right part numbers and quantities.

  • Supports material requirements planning for multiple sites and products.

  • Maintains all planning related ERP system Master Data (Item master, Bill of Materials, Work Orders).

  • Communicates effectively and proactively to reduce urgent/rush requests.

  • Monitors real time Excel Schedule and contributes updates in the Drug Product Operations meetings.

  • Serves as a primary point of contact and liaison for Manufacturing and Project Management departments.

  • Help with the Raw materials spec review/release.

  • Coordinate and interface with multiple departments to ensure all Raw Materials, Batch Record, and  FRM-1135 are available to produce the products and meet Master Schedule due dates.

  • Identify potential shortages and delay issues on a day-to-day basis.

  • Track scheduled operations activities progress, risks, and milestones.

  • Monitors relevant systems to ensure compliance with company authorizations, policies, and procedures. 

  • Develops and monitors appropriate planning metrics (KPIs) and tracks continuous improvement.

  • Optimizes use of ERP system for all planning and scheduling functions

  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

  • Embodies PCI Pharma Services cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline or equivalent experience preferred. 

  • APICs membership preferred. 

  • Minimum of 1 year of related planning or scheduling experience including 1 year of work in a GMP environment.

  • Knowledge of planning (MRP) and ERP experience required.

  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, and or CMO experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to define the needs of stakeholders (both internal and external) and build relationships with them.

  • Ability to work in an orderly and methodical fashion to solve problems.

  • Experience in supporting the development of planning procedures, and systems.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

The hiring rate for this position is $29.65 - $33.36 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
