Supervise production shifts, achieve goals, ensure safety, maintain schedules and records, motivate staff, troubleshoot equipment issues, and conduct departmental meetings.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise shift while planning or producing as scheduled
Achieve production and/or shipping goals as specified by General Foreman or Plant Manager
Review weekly production schedule ensuring all materials are available
Motivate employees to give maximum effort in a professional manner
Ensure all safety procedures are being followed
Maintain weekly employee attendance records
Maintain accurate production and/or inventory data including cycle counting
Ensure all forms for each workstation are completed and accurate
Hold departmental meetings as needed to discuss updates and/or changes in company policies, procedures, goals, etc.
Wear appropriate PPE and lead by example
Coordinate and lead monthly safety committee meeting
Troubleshoot issues related to equipment failures and take appropriate action to keep plant online and operational
Other duties as assigned by General Foreman or Plant Manager
What You’ll Need:
- Experience in all aspects of the manufacturing process:
Reading drawings, instructions, or repair/assembly operations
ERP system exposure/experience to identify and understand sales order demand and connected drawings
Cycle Counting Experience
Must have the ability to perform the following:
Overtime and shift work as required including weekends
Stand up to 12 hours daily
Walk up to 12 hours daily
Bend/stoop up to 12 hours daily
Perform repetitive movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
Lift weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
Be on site before shift starts to plan production for the day
Plan and work with computer-controlled equipment
Adapt and be cross trained to learn all job duties as required
Learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
Identify molds (change overs) mods and extensions, etc.
High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation : $90,000.00- $99,000.00 Annually
