While reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for shift performance metrics, production scheduling, material planning and control, and managing over hourly employees across 3 shifts and 4 crews on a 24/7 operation. Also, as part of the Management team you will be involved in safety, quality, productivity, material handling and cost performance, in a high-performance work team environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will Lead the charge in Sonoco’s safety-first philosophy
  • You will positively motivate a team of 2 direct reports and 50 indirect reports
  • You will ideally have previous experience working with P&L, and may have some P&L responsibility
  • You will have a relentless focus on continuous improvement in all areas to ensure process and manufacturing cost are always the most competitive in the industry.
  • You will be committed to employee engagement and help them to reach their full potential.
  • You will be expected to take calls and come in as needed to resolve process issues or downtime events.

This position is located in City of Industry, CA.

We’d love to hear from you if:

  • You have a BS Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • You will have 3 + years of paper mill manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years managing a team
  • You will have Project Management experience, and ideally packaging experience

Compensation: 

The annual base salary range for this role is from $119,760 to $134,730, plus a monthly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.
