Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY 

Silvus is seeking a Production Manager who will report to the Director of Operations on the Production team. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities, managing staff, optimizing workflows, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The Production Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Shipping, to meet production targets, customer on-time delivery, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, based at Silvus Technologies’ Culver City warehouse

location. 

Occasional travel (<20%) may be required between Silvus Technologies’ Culver City warehouse and the Silvus Technologies’ HQ in West LA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations, track KPI’s to meet output, quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Supervise and lead the team ensuring proper staffing, training, and performance management.

  • Monitor workflow, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

  • Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with quality specifications and customer requirements.

  • Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.

  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on performance, productivity, capacity, and resource usage.

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate with Quality Engineering to ensure reliable equipment performance.

  • Drive employee engagement, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and innovation.

  • Implement and enforce safety, health, and environmental regulations in compliance with company and industry standards.

  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Previous experience overseeing electronics manufacturing.

  • 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in electronics manufacturing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, demonstrating strong initiative, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through.

  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

  • Dependable and positive, with a strong team-oriented mindset.

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and manage teams effectively.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.

  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • A Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field is desirable.

  • 7 years of experience in electronics manufacturing.

  • Experience developing and maintaining a quality management system is a plus.

  • Experience with military-grade manufacturing is a plus.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:

  • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.

  • Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.

  • Walking/Moving in the labs.

 

COMPENSATION: $112,000 - $135,000 / annually
