Senior Product Scientist

We’re looking for a Sr. Product Scientist to join Snap Inc! You will be a part of the Product Science team that identifies and drives cross-functional opportunities for boosting the growth of Snap’s community. Working from our headquarters in Santa Monica, you will collaborate closely with the Hardware, Software Engineering, Data Science, Product Managers and Product Design teams. You will partner with leads of departments in Snap to define and deliver insight about solutions for boosting performance and engagement of the Snap hardware products.
What you’ll do:
Provide complex insights to AR and Hardware, Software Engineering, Product Managers, Product Design teams and Product Leads about usable and scalable solutions for boosting engagement and commercialization of our AR and hardware products. Support other teams with insights implementation.
Collaborate closely with Research, AR and Hardware, Product Managers, Engineering, and Product Design teams to hypothesize the AR and hardware product strategy.
Connect with customers and internal teams to understand the fundamental drivers behind CPV, both in the short and long term perspective, to understand their feature requests and then refine these requests into requirements and an actionable phased delivery plan.
Drive implementation of the best solutions, develop, and distribute best operational practices and frameworks enabling other teams inside Snap to ship solutions driving our CPV better and faster.
Write documentation for insight sign offs by leadership, providing sufficient information about product data findings and potential outcomes for Snap product performances and engagement.
Support Product Science team with user behavior research and analysis, prototyping, and design thinking execution.
Assist in leveraging product data to become increasingly more knowledgeable about how to improve performance and engagement of our existing AR and hardware products.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience working closely with Product, Engineering and R&D teams
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
A great attitude and self-starter mentality
Ability to plan, prioritise and manage your workload across multiple projects
A passion for Snapchat and creativity
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years in a senior position within product development or a related field at a customer technology company or digital entertainment or a venture capital firm focused on customer technology or digital entertainment. BSc is a plus and can be accounted for 2 years of relevant working experience.
Strong prototyping and visual design skills and passion for interaction design
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design tools
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years in a senior management role at a customer technology company with 30+ reports
A track record of success in product design and management or a related field role
Ability to win the support of key stakeholders (all the up to C-Level Executives)
Experience in creative community building
Technical background or familiarity with software engineering
