We’re looking for a Product Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of our Platform Products team, you will drive the future of our platform tools, including our industry leading HTML5 Game Engine: PlayCanvas. Working from our Los Angeles headquarters, you’ll partner with the core PlayCanvas team, engineers, designers, our internal Games Studio, data scientists, our partnerships team, other product managers and our external partners to take our developer platforms to the next level. You’ll be responsible for making sure that our developers can easily create, manage and improve their experiences with the right tools, products, features and organizational support.
What you’ll do:
Partner closely with senior leaders of our Engineering and Platform Products teams to define the strategy, business goals and core milestones for Developer Portal, PlayCanvas and other key development tools
Partner closely with the Engineering, Partnerships, Design and PlayCanvas teams to establish and execute a robust and holistic roadmap to serve the needs of our developers
Collaborate deeply with our Partnerships team and our external partners to identify the best opportunities to help our developers create amazing experiences
Serve as a thought leader on game development and the overall developer experience through deep empathy for our developers and elite knowledge of the competitive landscape
Develop and thoroughly present go-forward recommendations, both tactically and strategically
Evangelize PlayCanvas internally and externally
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Extraordinary communication skills and experience presenting complex topics to broad audiences - both internal and external
Ability to execute with limited oversight and guidance beyond high level objectives
Very comfortable in managing ambiguity
A true team player who can collaborate with engineers, designers, and other cross-functional teams
A passion for Snapchat, gaming and creativity!
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, economics, science, psychology, or mathematics or equivalent experience
5+ years of product management experience at a platform-focused, b2b or gaming company
Experience performing product-driven quantitative and qualitative analysis
Deep knowledge of developer platforms and the gaming industry overall
Experience with game development, developer platform products or b2b saas businesses is a plus
Occasional travel to London will be required for this position
