Product Communications Manager
We’re looking for a smart, media savvy, passionate storyteller to join the Product Communications team. Reporting to the Communications Director for Product you will play a critical role in driving awareness of our technology and innovation worldwide. Based out of our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll work closely with key product, marketing, and design leads to develop new initiatives and campaigns that highlight the unique creative nature of our platform and support core consumer products from our software, hardware, and camera teams.
What you’ll do:
Establish a communications strategies for our products and services that amplify Snap’s messaging and builds upon our reputation for innovation.
Build relationships and pitch key media across verticals (tech, mainstream, consumer press).
Develop product messaging, proactive pitches, and thought leadership narratives for teams across the company.
Collaborate closely with cross functional partners (product, design, marketing, legal) on coordinated campaigns, events, and product launches.
Handle inquiries from reporters in a timely, thorough manner; making recommendations and acting as a spokesperson when necessary.
Organize press briefings, create materials, and prepare spokespeople for interviews and speaking engagements.
Minimum qualifications:
BA degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in communications and related fields
Preferred qualifications:
Manage a heavy workload, prioritize what is important and stay cool under pressure.
Plan and execute on multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion.
Build relationships cross-functionally and collaborate well across a wide variety of stakeholders.
Operate as an excellent verbal communicator with strong written skills and fastidious attention to detail.
Excellent media relationships across consumer, tech, and mainstream US publications.
